Boundless Network Acquires Venture Marketing

Continuing its expansion, Texas-based Boundless Network Inc. (asi/143717) has acquired Venture Marketing (asi/351527), the companies announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Venture is the third company acquired by Boundless in the last six months. “We feel we had a personality match and shared vision with Venture,” says Jason Black, founder and CEO of Boundless Network. “Not every company is a fit for us. We’re looking for the more entrepreneurial distributors that want to leverage technology.”          

According to Black, talks with Virginia-based Venture began last year and the deal was finalized in March. Black says the transition between the companies is ongoing, but “the vast majority” of Venture’s 14-person staff will be absorbed by Boundless. Venture, which was established 15 years ago, has enjoyed success partnering with companies in the insurance and food services industries. “While the Venture Marketing client list includes many Fortune 1000 companies, our growth was limited by our current infrastructure,” said Venture Marketing CEO Ryan Andrews in a statement.

Without offering revenue specifics, Black says 2008 was a year of growth for his company. He expects the future will present similar opportunities for expansion. Headquartered in Austin, TX, Boundless Network serves clients that include BP, Valero and Hitachi. A company of 200 people, Boundless was named last year by Counselor as one of the Best Places to Work in the ad specialty industry.
